For this first week, we encouraged each of them to submit pictures and summaries from events they'd attended over the past couple of weeks. You can find their first efforts on Page D12 today.
As this column continues to grow, all three of them would like to hear from you about events they could cover for the page.

I am the daughter of Pat and John Tarsitano, sister to four. Raised as an Air Force brat, I am an anesthetist by education and am married to Michael Drake.
I have two sons, Patrick and John, and have been an Evansville resident for 23 years. I am a community volunteer, purveyor of good food and nice jewelry, opinionated, a giver of unsolicited advice, a social debutante, unnaturally blonde, a mother of two kitties and a good friend.
Having lived on the East Side and Downtown, and having relatives on the West Side, I am pretty fluent in the local tongues and dialects.
What a pleasure to call Evansville "my home sweet home" to flagrantly misquote Winthrop from "The Music Man." What joy, too, to see our community blossom into a now more diverse, cosmopolitan and accepting place to live.
A graduate of the University of Evansville with bachelor's and master's degrees in speech and drama, and a student at the University of Southern Indiana, I have also taught at both institutions.
It is my honor to serve on several civic boards. For close to 40 years it has been a thrill to work for the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corp. in the capacity of classroom teacher, drama director, swim coach and supervisor of fine arts.
My wife, Sue, and daughter, Tiffany, are equally involved in the community. Sue is an actress, a singer and counselor at Oak Hill Middle School. Tiffany is the program director for Leadership Evansville.
My friends and I have joked about me writing a column like Marilou Berry's for a long time, so when the newspaper advertised for the position, I jumped at the chance.
The name of my column, "Ciao! By Matt Rowe," is intended to remind you of "Who?
by Marilou."
I recently had a conversation with a young friend who said he could never live here because there's nothing to do.
I disagreed with him, finding as many activities for my- self as I have time for.
There are lots of worthwhile things to do and people to know around Evansville.
I hope readers will enjoy hearing about some of the places I get to go and will feel more connected to their community as a result.

Fasten your seatbelts Evansville, its going to be a fun time again at last.
We have had such a dearth of good, fun, upbeat news about people since Marilu passed from our midst. What fun it will be to enjoy lifes parade each week and take a break from the dark world around us. Thanks to the Courierand Press for listening to the community and resinstating happy news for a change.
