I have a secret admirer! These beautiful tulips (my favorite flower) arrived early this afternoon with the message, "Happy Valentine's Day to my Valentine!" on them.
Gee, I wonder who they could be from??
They are pretty blurry compared to what Colin and I actually got to see yesterday, so that's disappointing. I was hoping for a good shot with all of the vertebrae, so that I could brag about how my milk drinking has paid off! Anyway, the shot above is the best of the four, I think, since you can clearly see the baby's skull.
" There are! (Phew!)
And, a rather ghoulish shot of the little one -- I'm pretty sure that this is looking straight at the face, but Colin might have to correct me on that.
The fourth ultrasound is a between-the-legs shot, so you'll just have to wait to see that until later!!
Since a few people have asked why we're keeping the gender a secret: 1) We want there to be more of a surprise at the birth besides just the date, height, and weight; and more importantly, 2) we really don't want to get all gender-specific gifts.
Rather than getting all pink with daisies or all blue with sports themes, we'd like to have things that will work again when we have another baby. I know, this makes clothes shopping tough!!
But remember that we like yellow, green, and purple things, and animal themes go well for either gender! In fact, we like ANY gifts, so I suppose that if we get the "wrong" gender clothing, we'll just let the baby wear it anyway. ;) Hey, s/he won't know the difference, right?
