Sony has launched two compact laptops -- the TZ Series, a new laptop following on from the TX Series, and the SZ5, an upgrade to the SZ Series. The new TZ series notebook is designed to blend portability and performance with a minimalist casing and keyboard design. The laptops weighs just 1.
19kg, and offers high durability as the base and lid is made from carbon fibre. Each model comes equipped with the 11.1-inch X-black LCD screen featuring a colour accuracy of 72 percent -- plus power-saving LED illumination that helps extend battery life.
An Instant On function that enables users to play DVDs and audio CDs anytime without booting into Windows, with a set of dedicated AV buttons, provide the necessary play control. Powered by the latest Intel Core 2 Duo Ultra-Low Voltage CPU, the TZ has an enhanced battery life with hard disk options that go up to 100GB the largest available for a notebook this size.
