Joshua Schulman Named New CEO Of Shoe Label Jimmy Choo

New York, NY (AHN) - Joshua Schulman, a former executive for label Yves Saint Laurent and Gucci, has been appointed as the new CEO for luxury brand Jimmy Choo, the label's co-founder, Tamara Mellon, announced Sunday. Schulman replaces Robert Bensoussan, who is leaving his position to work with Towerbrook Capital, a majority shareholder in Jimmy Choo.
Schulman's most recent position was at Kenneth Cole.

His new job will entail overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shoe company.
Jimmy Choo has expanded to include bags and plans to launch a Jimmy Choo eau de toilette in the near future.
There are also plans for the label to expand to other parts of the globe, such as Asia.


Schulman's start date has not been announced yet.
Jimmy Choo was founded in 1996. Bensoussan had been its CEO since 2001.
