A man that went on a robbery spree Monday night on the city's South Side has been arrested, according to police. The robber was arrested and is facing robbery and drug charges after he held up several people at a local movie theater and shopping mall.
The first robbery happened around 10 p.
m. at the Mayan Theater on Southwest Military Drive when he held two people at gunpoint.
Shortly after, police say the man robbed a third person at South Park Mall.
That victim was able to write down the license plate of robber's get-away car.
Authorities soon spotted the vehicle on Zarzamora Street and arrested the robber.
Police say the robber was wearing a necklace and shoes he had just stolen when they apprehended him.
Authorities also found drugs in the car.
