Favorites to read to the children were THE VELVETEEN RABBIT, JAMBERRY, and the Good Dog, Carl books. My kids and grandkids loved to read them over and over. Any of the Mercer Mayer Little Critter books, Dr.

Seuss s OH THE THINKS YOU CAN THINK!, Children s bible stories, and any of the Arthur books. As a retired teacher, I was always reading anything by Dr.

Seuss. The children parodied the rhymes and they could hear the same stories over and over. They also loved MISS NELSON IS MISSING!
