AMBER Alert continues for two children in Washington

Washington State Patrol says because of their father's recent mental health issues, two-year-old Lars Baugher and four-year-old Remi Baugher are believed to be in immediate danger.
WALLA WALLA, Wash. - An AMBER Alert is still in effect in Eastern Washington for two children taken by their father on Friday.


On Monday morning, police found the empty Volkwagon van John Baugher was driving in on Highway 231 in Stevens County near the town of Ford. Authorities were scouring the area for the three.
The two children were last seen in the town of Waitsburg, north of Walla Walla, with their father.

Washington State Patrol says because of Baugher's recent mental health issues, 4-year-old Remi Baugher and 2-year-old Lars Baugher are believed to be in immediate danger.
John Baugher, 34, is described as Caucasian, with brown hair and green eyes, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 140 lbs. He was driving a 1978 two-toned brown Volkswagen van with Washington license plate 349 NRK.

The van was found abandoned along Highway 231 near Springdale.
Lars Baugher, 2, is described as 2 feet 7 inches tall, 29 lbs. with blonde hair and green eyes.

He was wearing a brown or green jacket, blue jeans, and black Converse shoes.
Remi Baugher, 4, is described as 3 feet 1 inches tall, 37lbs. with blonde hair and hazel eyes.

She was wearing a pink jacket with a heavier yellow jacket over the top, blue jeans, and Strawberry Shortcake shoes.
There were unconfirmed reports of sightings of John Baugher in Seattle and Poulsbo. Police were investigating surveillance video from a Poulsbo Walmart, where Baugher was reportedly spotted buying children's clothing.
