Cinven to Pay $1.3 Billion for Stake in French Women's Clothier Camaieu

March 22 (Bloomberg) -- Cinven Ltd. agreed to buy a and failed to take the French women s clothing retailer private.
The firm will pay 267 euros a share, the companies said in an e-mailed statement today.

Cinven will acquire a 64.5 percent stake in the retailer from Axa Private Equity, the buyout unit of Europe s second-biggest insurer. With that stake, the London- based firm will get 74.
