is getting all the buzz, but they weren't the only ones to kill off a main character temporarily last week. In last week's , Man Down, Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) was shot and killed ndash; but was brought back to life right away.
Delko was actually pronounced dead, only to turn out to be only mostly dead after the commercial break. Now he's alive but with amnesia and possibly brain damage, although the previews for this week's episode show a shaven-headed Delko walking around apparently working in the field as usual. (Sometimes you have to wonder what sort of brain damage the CSI: Miami writers are suffering from.
)
Delko was, in fact, shot in the same jewelry store that Tim Speedle (Rory Cochrane) was killed in two years ago, only with the name of the store changed - they just reused the exact same establishing shot (of a real-life Miami Beach restaurant) with the same cars parked out front. And as they never even mentioned Speed in the episode, Tim Speedle fans around the internet seem a bit put out.
In tonight's Broken Home, the CSIs (I'm sorry, Horatio and his team ) investigate the murder of a local babysitter's parents, and discover the swanky neighborhood is full of scandal, including a surprising love triangle, a doctor with his own secret to hide, and assorted other dish.
(Sounds very Desperate Housewives. )
CSI: Miami, sometimes called the most popular show in the world due to its worldwide syndication numbers, has been doing very well in the US ratings ndash; well enough that it's driven off its Monday night competition, NBC's . They don't seem to care that a lot of the people watching find the plotlines ludicrous ndash; in fact, that's probably what keeps most of them tuning in.
Will you be one of them?
